Carson and Crushell Architects - 17th May 2018
The husband and wife team of Douglas Carson and Rosaleen Crushell are Dublin-based practitioners whose deeply committed involvement with architecture is demonstrated by both their completed built-work and their participation in the professional, academic and public-facing aspects of architectural culture, both at home in Ireland and internationally.
We are pleased to have the practice with us in London to speak about their work and their ongoing refurbishment of a Georgian townhouse in Dublin for themselves as both a family home and as a base for their architectural practice. The talk will be hosted by Malaika Byng, Founding Editor at The Spaces.
Accompanying the talk is a small exhibition consisting of drawings, photographs and models depicting the project.
"This house represents an ongoing work-in-progress for our practice. It is both our home and studio. It is made of calp limestone, yellow bricks, pitch pine, lime, sand, Wicklow slate and north Dublin concrete blocks with the occasional piece of granite, lead, steel and Douglas fir"
