The Associated Press Building or formerly known as the ‘Interchange Building’ is a four-storey office in the borough of Camden, London. It houses the London office to the North American news company Associated Press (AP). The Victorian warehouse sits adjacent to the popular Camden Food Market, as well as a new large Berkley Homes development, part of the ‘Camden Goods Yard’ masterplan.

The building is currently empty three days a week, due to the pandemic and our new, flexible work from home policies. Part of my proposition is to condense the AP offices to a single floor, creating a full working week, with flexible hot desking so employees can still work from home three days a week. This opens up potential for new public programme comprising of a new culinary school, teaching a daylighting sustainable cooking, fuelled by a rooftop kitchen garden, alongside flexible office space for the current tenants, as well as exciting new, open minded public space.
